User Manual

Everything you need to know to master SnapHand and dominate the live tables.

1

How to use the tracker

Step 1

Seat the players

Start by selecting and assigning a player to every active seat at the table.

Step 2

Record player actions

As the hand progresses, track each player's moves by pressing the corresponding action button located under their name.

Step 3

Handling 4-bets and 5-bets

For the sake of simplicity during live play, if a player makes a 4-bet or 5-bet preflop, you can simply record it as a 3-Bet.

Note on 3-bet statistics

The 3-bet stat in SnapHand is calculated differently than in traditional online trackers (such as PokerTracker, Holdem Manager, or Hand2Note). If you want to calculate a mathematically exact 3-bet stat the way online trackers do, you can do this in the HUD popup. There, you can track the exact 3-bet stat by manually recording every single opportunity a player had to 3-bet, marking "yes" or "no". Doing this manually at a live table is extremely difficult and time-consuming. Because of this, our main tracker uses a simplified approach that is practical and easy to use during live sessions.

Step 4

Understanding the stats display

Next to each named player, you will see two rows of numbers. The large numbers on top are their overall lifetime stats, and the smaller numbers directly underneath are their stats for the current session. Additionally, right below the plus (+) button, you will see a small number indicating the total amount of hands you have saved for that specific player.

Step 5

Reading unknown player stats

You can assign an "Unknown player" to multiple seats at the table. For unknown players, the stats display is reversed to help you focus on the current game: the large numbers at the top reflect their stats for the current session only, while the smaller numbers underneath show the combined overall stats of all unknown players you have ever tracked.

Step 6

Move to the next hand

Once all preflop action is entirely finished, simply press the "Next hand" button to complete the current hand and start a new one.

2

How to use the HUD

Step 1

Accessing the HUD

In the main tracker view, look for the stat numbers (such as VPIP, PFR, and 3Bet) displayed next to each player. Tap directly on those numbers to open the Advanced HUD for that specific player.

Step 2

Tracking specific actions

Inside the HUD, you can manually track a custom or specific stat. Whenever a situation occurs where the player has the opportunity to take that action: press Yes if they took the action, or press No if they had the opportunity but did not take the action.

Step 3

Renaming stats

If you want to customize the name of the stat you are tracking, simply tap on the stat's name. A window will appear allowing you to type in a new name.

Note

Renaming a stat here will update the name for all players across the app.

Step 4

Resetting a stat

If you need to start over or clear the data for a specific stat, just tap directly on the percentage number (%). This will reset that specific stat to zero for the selected player.

Step 5

Viewing overall table stats

While inside the HUD menu, you can also view the combined, overall statistics for all the tracked players at your table, helping you quickly understand the dynamics of your current game.

3

How to save a hand

Step 1

Select the player

Press the plus button next to the player for whom you want to save a hand.

Step 2

Choose board cards

Select the community cards. It is not necessary to select all the cards; you only need to enter the information that is known to you or that you want to remember.

Step 3

Record the actions

Click the "Select action" button to record what happened on each street. You can also create your own custom actions. Keep in mind that the purpose of this feature is to record only the actions performed by this specific player, rather than tracking the entire hand for the whole table.

Step 4

Categorize the hand

When finishing, you must classify how the hand was played:

If the hand was played for value, choose Save as value.
If the hand was a bluff, choose Save as bluff.
In any other case, choose Save as passive.
Important

Categorizing the hand this way is very important. It allows you to quickly filter your statistics later so you can analyze specific lines and tendencies in the analytics section.

4

How to use the analytics tab

Why this matters

The Analytics tab is the most important part of the app. This is the ultimate reason why we track and save hands in the first place.

Step 1

Choose who to analyze

To look at a specific player's statistics, you can tap the Analytics icon (the fourth icon on the far right) located under their name in the Tracker tab. Alternatively, you can open the Analytics tab directly and choose a specific player from the dropdown menu. You can also select "All players" to analyze the general tendencies of the entire field.

Step 2

Postflop action sequences

In this section, you can see a player's most frequent betting lines (for example, "Call-Check-Bet"). By analyzing these sequences, you might discover massive leaks—such as finding out that a player absolutely never bluffs when they take a specific line. Tapping on any sequence will instantly apply it as a filter, allowing you to quickly view all the saved hands where that exact betting line was used.

Step 3

Bet sizing tendencies

In the Flop size, Turn size, and River size categories, you can see exactly which hands a player shows down based on the specific size of their bets. This makes it incredibly easy to see if a player uses certain bet sizes only for value, or if they use them to bluff.

Step 4

Speed of the last action (timing tells)

In live games, the time a player takes to make a decision is a crucial tell. Many players unknowingly differ in their timing when deciding to bluff versus value bet. We recommend counting silently in your head (like slow counting or breaths, from 0 up to 11+) while a player is thinking, and recording that number. By reviewing this data later, you can find exact patterns in how their decision time correlates to their actual hand strength.

Step 5

Reading the hand history colors

When viewing filtered hands in the history section, they are color-coded so you can instantly understand how the hands were played:

Green frame — The hand was played for value.
Red frame — The hand was played as a bluff.
Brown frame — The hand was played passively.

5

How to use filters

Step 1

Open the filter menu

While in the analytics tab, tap the filter icon located in the top right corner.

Step 2

Choose your criteria

You can filter your saved hands using several different options:

• Select the specific action and the bet size range you want to analyze. • Choose whether the hand was a bluff or a value bet. • Filter by whether the player was in position or out of position.
Step 3

Filtering by board texture

You can also filter hands based on the community cards.

Note

Board filters will only work if a minimum of 3 board cards were saved during the hand. Additionally, our system calculates texture based on the entire known board (up to all 5 cards), rather than only looking at the flop.

Step 4

Saving filter presets

If there are specific filters you use often, you can save them for quick access later. This is incredibly useful when playing online, allowing you to instantly pull up a saved preset to see exactly how a specific opponent—or the entire player pool—tends to play a specific line. Just select your desired parameters, press the plus button in the "Saved presets" section, enter a name, and save it.

Step 5

Apply the filters

After selecting all the criteria you want to see, press the "Show hands" button at the bottom of the screen to view your matching results.

6
